North Wales - Part 1

David and I went to North Wales for the weekend, but were lucky to get there with the recent heavy fall of snow (it was a struggle even getting up the drive to the B&B). The advantage of the snow was that it was extraordinarily pretty. We set off early on Saturday morning for Pen Y Pas, and climbed up the Miners' track halfway up Snowdon. The drifts were waist/shoulder deep in places, so we stuck firmly to the path past the frozen lakes, admiring the wonderful views. There were a lot of people out, including some girls sledging with their dog, who was struggling to climb the slope in the deep snow! We then went and polished off a large lunch at Pete's Eats in Llanberis.
