Mum and Dad arrived in Egham after a few week's orienteering, and after a
night of rest we headed off down the M4 to Wales. The weather wasn't great,
but Kathy & Jen stopped off at the
National Botanical Gardens of Wales. Very
nice gardens, some lovely photos were taken with our new camera :) Eventually we got to our B&B in Broad Haven, lovely location - called Atlantic View, and it lived up to its name. In the morning we headed south to Marloes Sands, a gorgeous little beach that reminded us of NZ. Then a boat trip around Skomer Island, the weather was too rough to go the whole way round, but we still saw lots of wildlife, lots of puffins which looked really funny trying to fly! Best place to eat (only place we bothered going to, it was so good!) was the Crown in Little Haven. 3 nights in a row we were there, very relaxing with nice food. Popped up to St David's to have a look at the cathedral. The local icecream shop was so good that some people went there twice on the same afternoon! |
